About Us

origins and inception of a humble food place

Ban Koh Nang kam or House of Koh Nangkam is an island sandwiched between Pathhalung and Songklha provinces, residing within the southernmost part of Thailand.

This is also where the Hodsub family Thai Muslim natives moved southward from Hua Sai before finally settling down in Koh Nangkam. Etymologically, Koh Nangkam can be roughly translated as ‘stopover island’ and is currently inhabited by a school of small villages, preoccupied with agricultural activities.

Koh Nangkam Restaurant is dedicated to serve the local flavours of the south

- in particular, the ways that the Hodsubs have traditionally been cooking. Most of the dishes served are often reminiscent of the southern flavours that Singaporeans can relate to and enjoy

Koh Nangkam has been in the food scene since 2007, originally located adjacent to North Bridge Road facing the myriad of dining choices available within the Sultan Mosque area.

In 2012, with positive support and encouragement from a loyal fanbase, Koh Nangkam moved to a bigger venue, 50 metres away from our first location, at 4 & 6 Jalan Kledek. This new location accommodates two-storey worth of seats complete with air-conditioning for the comfort of our custom- ers.

We are thankful for the unwavering support and constructive feedback that we have obtained throughout these years. Running on a family business model of Thai and Singaporean manpower, we assure you that we will maintain quality and authentic taste that our customers know us for.
